Activity C

The activity today showed us how to read rain maps for the southeastern part of the United States. There was a few questions that we had to answer relating to the topic. This activity showed me how the rain fall in the world is read, even though when there is a drought there is no rain it is still good to know how to read a rain map so that you will know how much rain you are going to get or not get. So what i think is that if things keep going the way they are, we are pretty soon going to have much more areas of our world going through a drought.

Activity1

yesterday we did an activity on direct heating. it showed how snow, soil, and water are affected by the heat and cooling process.we showed how the temperature for each one changed through out the 10 min. we did this for. this relates to drought because the heat is absorbed by the soil which then heats the ground. this causes the water in the ground to evaporate, this makes the trees and plant life die because they don't have water to keep them alive.
